Impact & Policy Training for Early Career Researchers

This one-day training programme, will include a morning session centred on understanding impact and building it into research plans.  A limited number of participants will go on to attend an afternoon session of more focused training in impact through public policy.  Delivered by communications consultancy Bulletin, the training will equip participants with key tools, ensuring they leave with a clear appreciation of impact and how to realise it.

Policy Training for Mid-Career & Senior Scientists

This focused one-day training event, will include a morning session centred on understanding the generation of impact through public policy.  Former MP, Nick Palmer will then provide an informal briefing on giving evidence to Select Committees.  The remainder of the day will be dedicated to a session on policy briefs, including an opportunity for participants to begin or re-work a brief, receiving detailed feedback from the instructor.  Delivered by communications consultancy Bulletin, the training will equip participants with key tools to enable them to develop their own strategies to communicate relevant research to policy makers.
